Customer Product Review - Dry Shampoo

Today, one of our lovely customers was nice enough to send us a review of our Dry Shampoos! I have posted the review below:

"I have long, thick, wavy/curly and course hair. In order to maintain it I cannot wash it every day AND when I straighten it as I often do, it immediately gets greasy at the roots and is then visible. I have tried very inexpensive to veeeerrry expensive dry-shampoos and you have to let it either: sit on the hair before you brush it to see how much you need which can be annoying in a pinch; it stains everything if it matches your color (brown); leaves a white "halo" if "colorless." Even after all this the absorption stinks no matter how much or little one uses. And your hair still is icky/stinky. YOUR product has immediate absorption, smells fantastic, leaves hair looking freshly washed and styled, somehow makes it more manageable, silky and approachable (hahaha) is incredibly easy to apply and all for $9.50! Thank you!"

How To Use Dry Shampoo

We have been receiving many questions regarding this product. Some have never heard of Dry Shampoo and others want information on how to best use this product. I hope that this post will answer a lot of your questions.

Dry Shampoo is a mixture of various powders, which are meant to absorb excess oils and odor on the hair. We all know the feeling of unwashed hair! It feels heavy and weighed down and perhaps a little too shiny (not in a good way!). Dry shampoos restore the bounce that we associate with fresh clean hair! Our dry shampoos are scented, so they will also make your hair smell wonderful.

If you are like me, then you will find that washing your hair every day can lead to some unwanted dryness. If you have color-treated hair, then excess washing can decrease the life-span of your color. (This product is also great for those of you who are on the road or camping in the wilderness!) Using a dry shampoo 2-3 days per week in place of standard washing can help to alleviate some of these issues.

Dry Shampoos are best used on hair that is NOT freshly washed. Rather, you should use it on hair that has not been shampooed for at least 24 hours. If your hair is 'squeaky clean' when you apply it, you will find that the product is harder to work in. After all if there are no oils for the powder to absorb, it has no where to go and may leave a white sheen on your hair!

To apply the powder, start with a small sprinkling near your roots and begin working the product down the length of your hair. You may need to apply slightly more to the ends depending on your hair length. Start with a small amount as a little goes a long way. It is easier to apply more than to remove!
